  Individual-based immunotherapy for urological malignancies

Urological malignancies have a poor prognosis when detected in an advanced stage. The treatment for these advanced cancers is challenging. Basic research in our own laboratory revealed cellular and molecular characteristics which implicated novel immunotherapies for these advanced urological cancers. For instance, renal cell carcinomas are treated with individual regimens based on the cytokine production of the cancer. Immunotherapies are applied for bladder cancer with MAGE-3 peptide pulsed dendritic cells. Hormone-refractory prostate cancer is treated by PSM peptide pulsed dendritic cells. These translational approaches are all based on biologically plausible data investigated in own laboratory.
